Chardonnay Wine Review with John Saker

John Saker recently launched his wine newsletter Te Whenua. It is a monthly magazine of news and views created for the wider industry and wine-interested people. The central focus is NZ Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. He would like to feature Marlborough in the fourth issue (published in January) of Te Whenua and will be in Marlborough to taste on 14 December. John explains his tasting MO: "I taste the wines blind, spending time over each. I don't score the wines but those that really impress me I put aside. These wines will join a category called 'The List' and will be featured in the newsletter with notes on each."  There is no charge for those wishing to submit wines to the tasting. Should a wine make The List, the producer is welcome to use that and the notes for promo purposes, though John requests those who do so to be subscribers of Te Whenua. Wine Marlborough is assisting with the tasting, providing a venue and admin support. To that end, we are now asking for entries for the 14 December tasting. The call is for 'current release Chardonnay'. Wineries can only submit one vintage of each expression. If a winery has several expressions (eg single vineyard wines etc), one of each can be entered. Please fill in this form to enter wines and then separately fill in the attached delivery template. Samples are due by Monday 11 December.

There is no charge to enter.
