John Saker is returning to Marlborough to taste and gather news for his monthly subscription newsletter Te Whenua. He would like to feature Marlborough Pinot Noir in the ninth issue (published in June) of Te Whenua and will be here to taste on 16 April 2024.

John Saker recently launched his wine newsletter Te Whenua. It is a monthly magazine of news and views created for the wider industry and wine-interested people. The central focus is NZ Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. He would like to feature Marlborough in the fourth issue (published in January) of Te Whenua and will be in Marlborough to taste on 14 December.

The purpose of developing these foundations we share with you today is to define the brand for our wine industry – the Marlborough wine industry. And to in turn, allow us to establish an overarching visual identity that highlights the uniqueness and story of the Marlborough wine region and our brand – Marlborough Wine.

Last month we invited you to complete a survey to help inform Wine Marlborough's messaging direction to celebrate Marlborough wine’s 50-year milestone and assist with a review of our branding to ensure we can successfully champion our industry and region.

Early in 2023 Wine Marlborough initiated an annual member survey to gather feedback across our membership base and key partners/associates. The survey was conducted by an independent consultant (Q & A Research) and was an opportunity for the Wine Marlborough team to hear from our members on where and how we could better meet your needs, and what was working well.

A reminder of the information and guidelines used in regard to the use of lasers and bird scaring devices is outlined.
